GCUMC Guild

History of the Guild:

In 1899 the Methodist Guild was established in Cape Coast to mobilize the youth for Church activities in addition to training them as effective witnesses in the Church and in the Nation to the Glory of God. The Methodist Guild is now a family fellowship where people of all ages can join. There are currently thousands of Guilds around the world. The motto for the guild is “One Heart – One Way”, which is found in Jeremiah 32:39.

And create the means of which social life of the Church is expressed.

Sessions: The Guild has four important characters as its Role Models:

Rev. John Wesley: He was the founder of Methodism and stands for comradeship. He said, “The whole world is my Parish”.

Sir Galahad: He was a British Knight who proved to be a true ideal Christian Knight. His heart was so pure and because of his purity, he could do what ten (10) people could not do. He stands for Consecration.
